Seasoned East Indian Rosewood 3-piece Backs
These backs were bought form a luthier in the 1980; he had them for about 10 years previous to that. David has used a few over the years and there are about 10 left. That is 55 years of aging. EIR stabilizes once it reaches 30 years...these backs are resonant and stable! The colour of East Indian Rosewood becomes lighter brown when it oxidises, any colour tone differences will blend once the wood is sanded and finished.
